Angelina Serratore, 18, was driving west on Route 632 in an Isuzu SUV when the vehicle veered off the road to the right and overturned near milepost 3.7 in Franklin Township around 7:45 a.m., NJSP Tpr. Brandi Slota told Daily Voice.
She was thrown from the vehicle and killed.
Born in Bethlehem, Serratore graduated from Liberty High School with honors in 2021, her obituary says.
Serratore played tennis and had earned numerous regional and national awards both individually and as a team at Cheryl Chickey’s All American Performing Arts Center, her memorial says.
She worked at Starbucks and had recently been accepted to Arizona State University, where she planned to study psychology.
Serratore was remembered as a vibrant and caring soul who brought endless joy and laughter to everyone around her.
“She had a way of taking over a room with her radiant smile, her fabulous nails, and her voice that simply would not be kept down,” her memorial says.
“To her friends and family, Angelina’s most unique and heartwarming trait was her laugh, which could range from a quiet chuckle to a full-bellied snort.”
Serratore is survived by her mother, Emily Dawley; her father, Anthony Serratore; brothers Jonathan, Jose, Giovannie, and Jacob; and grandparents Nancy Lieberman and Larry and Joyce Dawley; uncles Vincent Serratore and Robert and Bryan Lieberman and wife Megan; Aunt Hannah Tatu and husband Christian, Uncle Michael Dawley and wife Melissa, Uncle Michael Serratore and Aunt Melissa Vorhauer, and cousins Nathan and Andrew Serratore, Hailey, Madelynn, and Brayden Lieberman, and Jack and Madeline Tatu; great-grandparents Marian Minyard and Ron and Lois Hart, and many extended family members and close friends.
Serratore’s memorial service will be held Monday at Connell Funeral Home on East Broad Street in Bethlehem.
Donations can be made toward a scholarship to Liberty High School BASD in the form of a check with Serratore’s name in the memo line.
“Angelina loved to laugh, and laughing with her will be what we miss the most,” her memorial says.
